Michael Schumacher Son Mick Schumacher On His Path To Success

Michael Schumacher’s son, Mick Schumacher, won two races on his Formula 4 debut. Will he create a history like his dad?

According to Mirror, Mick Schumacher, the 17-year-old Formula One driver as well as the son of  Formula One legend Michael Schumacher, proved his ability by winning two races in the Italian Formula 4 at Misano on Saturday. With the winning titles, Mick will be attending German F4 tournament at Oschersleben. Mick has already completed 10th overall in the German championship.

Schumacher never wanted his son Mick to get into the Formula One. He always thought that Formula One is too dangerous. However, Mic selected Formula One like his dad, according to PPcorn.

In fact, Michael had hopes on Sebastian Vettel. Schumacher was asking Ferrari to sign Vettel as he found him very talented driver. Now, it looks like Schumacher’s predictions were wrong because recently Vettel ended Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix in empty hands. Mick Schumacher’s Formula One career did not begin with great success. Now, he is growing as a promising driver. Mick may be missing his dad’s guidance, who is a Formula One legend. Schumacher is recovering from the injuries, but the recovery is slow as per the reports. “We are happy to say still he does improvement and I say this always considering the severeness of the injury he had. But of course it will take a very long time for everybody involved to fight, and we are happy to take this fight,” Schumacher’s Manager Sabine Kehm said.

Schumacher suffered devastating head injuries in a ski accident when he was on holiday with his family and friends in the French Alps. He was airlifted to Grenoble hospital for neurosurgical intervention. After two life-saving operations, Schumacher doctors described his condition as “extremely serious”.

Thankfully Schumacher came out of the coma and shifted to his home Grenoble Hospital. Schumacher has won seven world championships, and he is also one of the richest Formula One drivers.

Sakurajima Japan Eruption–’Just Another Day’ For Residents

In a surprise eruption that shook parts of southern Japan, Sakurajima ended an unusually long quiet phase in style. The stratovolcano, known for being one of the most active in the world, spewed a plethora of ash, magma and ball lightning into the sky, providing what could be one of the most notable displays of pyrotechnics seen from the volcano.

Active Volcano

Sakurajima is a set of multiple volcanoes in the Kagoshima prefecture of Kyushu, Japan. It is an active decade volcano, and has been erupting regularly since 1955.

Because of its unusually active nature, as well as the rather destructive nature of its eruptions—one of its eruptions connected the island volcano to Osumi Peninsula back in 1914—Sakurajima is the subject of plenty of volcanology studies.

To this end, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has many cameras recording the activity of Sakurajima, and monitors the volcano on a regular basis.

Average Eruption

This eruption was not exactly unplanned for. The JMA and the city of Kagoshima regularly tracks any activity on the stratovolcano, and can predict to a relatively decent margin if there is any danger of an eruption from Japan’s Sakurajima.

As such, the eruption last February 5, 2016 was not exactly unexpected. The government had been preparing the city for an eruption since early 2015, and in fact considers Sakurajima’s eruption to be delayed. Kagoshima had been expecting the volcano to erupt in September of 2015.

This eruption, though flashy, is actually quite an average explosion from the volcano. There have been records of stronger explosions from Sakurajima, which has recorded major eruptions on average every three years within the past decade.

Residents Not Worried

Despite the active nature of the volcano, the residents of Kagoshima aren’t so worried. Sakurajima experiences plenty of minimal eruptions regularly. The city regularly conducts a yearly disaster drill in case of a major explosion, and there are safeguards in place to help reduce any casualties.

There have been none so far. Just to be safe, however, the JMA has increased the exclusion zone to around two kilometers from the area. The agency has also raised the alert status of the volcano to level 3.

Many experts believe that this explosion is the resumption of the volcano’s regular activity. Sakurajima has been quiet since late last year.

This eruption, however, has become one of the flashier displays in the history of Japan. Sakurajima’s eruption video can be viewed here, for those of you who want to see the volcano’s eruption as recorded by JMA’s many cameras.

Planetary Alignment From Jan. 20 to Feb. 20: Where To Watch

The planets Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Mars and Jupiter will appear in a line visible to the naked eye in the early morning sky from Jan. 20 to Feb. 20. Stargazers are waiting to witness this golden moment. The alignment will be clearer from 5:30 a.m. to 5:40 a.m. (Australian Eastern Daylight Time) starting Jan. 20.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, it is better to find the flattest plane to watch this alignment since mercury will be at the end of the horizontal line. It will be clearly visible in the dark sky. The weather condition may shatter the view for some time. Therefore, it’s better to get up early at least for a week to see these rare guests.

You can check out whether sky will be cloudy or clear on National Weather Service Forecast Page. Once after logging into the page, you have to click on “Sky Cover.” If it shows blue it means clear sky and grey means cloudy skies, which is not great for sky watchers, USA Today reported.

How To Identify Each Planet?

According to Kaweah Commonwealth, Venus, Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter are already visible on the sky. Mercury will join them on Jan. 20.  Since Venus is the brightest planet you will spot it easily. This will be the order — Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn.

As we already know, Jupiter rises in the east at late evening followed by Mars. Venus and Saturn will be visible above the southeast horizon about two-and-a-half hours before sunrise. Mercury will be the late arrival in this alignment game.

“From time to time you do get a planet alignment and it always looks pretty special in the sky. Hopefully, we get some clear skies so everyone can take it in and we can actually see it,” Shoalhaven Astronomers member Jack Apfelbaum said.

Do not be disappointed if you are unable to witness this alignment, you have another chance after few months. The senior curator at the Melbourne Planetarium, Dr. Tanya Hill says planets will be lined up in August once again. The next alignment is expected to take place on October 2018, according to south coast register. Don’t miss this magical alignment and also share your experience here.

Michael Schumacher's Son Will Not Be Successful?

Is Michael Schumacher’s son Mick is not going to be as successful? Budding F1 driver Max Verstappen’s father Jos Verstappen says yes.

According to Wheels24, Max Verstappen’s father has given a statement that Mick is not as good as his dad. “Having the name Schumacher is different to being a Verstappen. I don’t think he’s as good as Michael, and then it is more difficult still,” Jos said. “Mick misses his father of course, as he has a lot of experience. Now Peter Kaiser is supporting him. I think Mick is someone who needs more time to achieve good results. I have watched him a little and I think he can drive. But he must be given the time he needs,” he added.

Meanwhile, Jos appreciated his son’s abilities. In Jos’ opinion, his son is doing great in his racing career. Jos was Michael Schumacher’s teammate a long time back. Max is senior to Mick Schumacher, and he is already into Formula 4.

If we look at Mick’s career growth, Jos Verstappen’s comments sound illogical because Mick recently won two races in the Italian Formula 4 at Misano. He also completed 10th overall in the German championship. Michael Schumacher never wanted his son to take up Formula One, but Mick chose that field and also doing extremely well. One can not expect him to hit a big success at this early stage. Mick is just seventeen years old! His dad is not in the condition to take pride of his son’s victory though Michael Schumacher is slowly recovering from the injuries.

Schumacher has won seven world championships.

Syria War Death Toll Is 470,000 After Five Years Of Conflict

The actual Syria war death toll stands at 470,000, including 70,000 Syrians who have lost their lives due to lack of basic health care, according to the Guardian’s report on Thursday.

The Syrian Centre for Policy Research (SCPR) said most deaths were directly due to violence. “We use very rigorous research methods and we are sure of this figure,” Rabie Nasser, the report’s author, told the Guardian. “Indirect deaths will be greater in the future, though most NGOs [non-governmental organisations] and the UN ignore them.

“We think that the UN documentation and informal estimation underestimated the casualties due to lack of access to information during the crisis,” he said.

The people injured in this fight are nearly 11% of the total population of Syria, the SCPR report said. Likewise, the report indicated that 1.9 million people had been wounded, while life expectancy of Syrians has dropped from 70 in 2010 to 55.4 in 2015. Overall economic losses are also estimated at $255 billion, according to the Guradian.

A US-led coalition is trying to destroy Islamic State militants in Syria and wants President Bashar al-Assad to go. But Russia and Iran are propping up Assad and oppose the opponents of Assad who are being supported by the West and its Arab allies led by Saudi Arabia.

The SCPR report also noted that employment conditions and pay have deteriorated and women work less because of security concerns. About 13.8 million Syrians have lost their source of livelihood.

Russia ready to discuss possible ceasefire in Syria

Russia is ready to discuss a possible ceasefire in Syria, according to Russian news agencies on Thursday citing Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov. “We are ready to discuss the modalities of a ceasefire in Syria,” TASS cited Gatilov as saying. “This is what will be talked about in Munich”. Gatilov also said that peace talks could resume before February 25.

WW3 Threat Closer Than Ever: Jakarta Bomb Attack Is ISIS-related? What We Know So Far

Analysts of terrorist activities have made early conclusions that the bombing and terrorist attacks that happened today in Jakarta, Indonesia are related to the Islamic State or ISIS.

Robert Baer, CNN Intelligence and Security Analyst, shared via on-air that the events have ‘Paris’ written all over it, pertaining to last year’s devastating event in the European capital wherein multiple bombings, high-powered weaponry, and concentrated attacks claimed the lives of hundreds of people.

Although only a few have died today (four as of press time), Baer is positive that the attack was made by ISIS insurgents, pointing out that bombing in Western brand, Starbucks, is a statement of the global terrorist.

There are still no clear conclusions on who caused today’s attacks however.

The following is the latest update from The Guardian as per Reuters:

Militants launched a gun and bomb assault killing at least six people in the centre of the Indonesian capital on Thursday, police said, in an attack that followed a threat by Islamic State fighters to put the country in their “spotlight”.

Media said six bombs went off and a Reuters witness saw three dead people and a gunfight going on. One blast was in a Starbucks cafe and security forces were later seen entering the building.

Police said they suspected a suicide bomber was responsible for at least one of the blasts and up to 14 militant gunmen were involved in the attack, Metro TV reported.

“The Starbucks cafe windows are blown out. I see three dead people on the road. There has been a lull in the shooting but someone is on the roof of the building and police are aiming their guns at him,” said a Reuters photographer.

Indonesia has been on edge in recent weeks over the threat posed by Islamist militants and counter-terrorism police have launched a crackdown on people with suspected links to Islamic State.

“We have previously received a threat from Islamic State that Indonesia will be the spotlight,” police spokesman Anton Charliyan told reporters. But he said police did not know who was responsible.

He said three policemen and three civilians had been killed.

“I saw a police officer shot right in front of me,” one witness told TV One.

One explosion went off in front of a shopping centre called the Sarinah mall, on a main avenue. Media said a police post outside the mall was blown up.

Police snipers were deployed among hundreds of other security officers.

A U.N. building near the scene was in lock-down with no one allowed in or out, a witness said. Some other high-rise buildings in the area were evacuated.

Indonesia’s central bank is located in the same area, and a spokesman for the bank said a policy meeting was going ahead and a decision on interest rates would be announced as planned later in the day.

WW3 Scenario: US Still Considers Russia Major Threat Followed By These 3 'Enemies'

Is a third World War a-brewing? While there aren’t clear signs that nations are willing to break into WW3, the United States isn’t taking any chances and is gearing up to counter some of what it perceives to be its biggest threats.

Russia is Top Dog

Standing at the top of this list is Russia, led by its brusque Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, whose recent actions in the Ukrainian border brought the region to the brink of a localized war. US officials are replacing the war on terror with Russia as the top area of concern. This is made clearer by President Barack Obama administration’s recent budget requests to Congress.

Following after Russia are two countries from Asia. The biggest of these is China, whose actions on their nautical borders have been increasing tensions in the region for the past few years. Next to this country is North Korea, one of China’s staunchest allies, and whose government could very well go nuclear in the near future.

And of course, there’s still the war on terror to consider, which is an ongoing operation, albeit one that has been recently reduced, thanks to ISIL’s focus in the Middle East.

Increased Military Spending

The US has asked Congress to approve a staggering $3.4 billion budget for the military. This is surprising; the Obama administration has been one known for its military budget cuts. This sudden surplus in spending for that sector of the government is driven by what Defense Secretary Ashton Carter calls the “Europoean Reassurance Initiative”.

Basically, the government just wants the money to ensure that they can beef up their troops in the Russian borders. Obama wants to put a little bit of pressure on Putin to dissuade the Russian from actively seeking more territorial annexations like they did with Crimea.

In Putin’s defense, the Russians have declared a ceasefire on their operations against Ukraine late last year. But the US claims that Putin has yet to pull his troops back from the border, indicating that there may be further instances of aggression—and they just want to be prepared.

Sleight of Hand

This in itself is not news. But there are some officials from within the US military who think that this initiative is just an excuse for the Obama administration to funnel money towards weapons development and research. And, for good reason as the Pentagon has revealed that it has plenty of new technology being developed by third-parties, including “…swarmbots, smart bombs, and hypersonic guns…”

There’s no end to the US government’s research into weapons development, but some of the most notable pieces of warfare technology were brought about during massive, large-scale battles. The atomic bomb, for example, was developed during World War 2. But whether or not the US is just using Russia as an excuse to beef up its military, the fact remains that tension is high among the world’s superpowers, and only time will tell if this will lead to WW3—or if it will just end up being another Cold War.
