This is where Dov Katz of Oculus responded to the ad and messaged one of the officers who was undercover as a 15-year-old girl. This is where things start unraveling for the Oculus figurehead as he allegedly agreed to pay the equivalent of $300 for ual intercourse with the minor without the use of a condom. The pair agreed to meet up at the Embassy Suites Hotel at 15920 West Valley Highway. Katz was promptly arrested when he showed up at the hotel room with $600. He then tried to argue that he was only there to save the girl. This is part of the transcript that allegedly took place between Dov Katz and the undercover police officer posing as a minor according to the police report. “The two of them continue to text each other with Katz stating that he would be there 2100 hours. Katz also texts for a photo which was sent to Katz. At 1843 hours Katz texted ‘how old are you anyways?’ Officer Sudel texted ’19 u?’. Katz replied ’30’. Officer Sudel then replied ‘K younger girls ok with u?’. Katz replied ‘Yes. More energy to keep up.’” The next part is where the entire sting operation was concluded. According to Polygon, Officer Sudel, who was the undercover cop in this case then revealed that his character was just 15-years-old. This does not seem to be a problem with Dov Katz and the two proceeded to text each other and send photos. According to the official report, the two proceeded to seal the deal. The whole sting operation program has been in effect since 2014 and has led to numerous arrests of buyers as well prostitutes. The program has thus been effective as the detectives have stated that they got roughly around 200 responses to the undercover ads within two hours. It has also been a reason why the county has been experiencing a steep decline in prostitution activities. Katz played a big role in the creation of the Oculus rift. According to the source, he was put in charge of making the VR experience less jarring for the user. He also relayed the biggest challenges for the VR platform such as delayed responses in 3d and the inaccuracy in mapping motions. Dov Katz is also the big reason why the Oculus rift is such a great immersive experience with his development of a low latency optical position tracking system. It is worth noting that the case is still pending and that the public should withhold any judgment until after the case has been settled. Dov Katz bail starts at $125,000 and is set to be arraigned on January 5. [Featured Image by Anders Behring Breivik/AP Images]

Married Man Sentenced To Life For Murdering Mother-Of-Three Who Lived Double Life As Paid Escort

A married man has been sentenced to life in prison after the killing of a mother who lived a secret life as a paid escort. The judge sentenced Lester Ralph Jones to life in prison on Tuesday without any possibility of parole, according to the Daily Mail. It was the second time that the 65-year-old had been arraigned for the murder of Paige Birgfeld. The initial trial had ended in a stalemate when jurors failed to reach an undisputed verdict. Birgfeld disappeared at age 34. The devoted mother was described as a hardworking woman who did everything to provide for her three children including selling kitchen products and baby slings from her residence. Birgfeld disappeared July 1 2007, three days after she vanished. Her torched car was found in a parking lot close to where Lester Ralph Jones worked. The remains of the Colorado woman were found in March 2012, partially buried in a Delta County gully by a hiker. Birgfeld was a paid escort, known as “Carrie” to her clients and one of those clients was Jones. Investigators confirmed that Jones was the last person to see her alive. A fellow escort had told investigators had Jones asked specifically for “Carrie” but canceled when he found out that she was the ex-wife of a work colleague at the local fire department. However, his phone records showed that he continued to communicate with the mother-of-three in the days leading to her disappearance. Jones had insisted he had nothing to do with her death even when he was arrested in November for kidnapping and first-degree murder. In the second trial, he was almost not convicted for the murder because his lawyers argued that the real killer had died in 2011. However, detectives said they questioned the man before he died and ruled him out as a suspect. They also said her ex-husband and several clients had all being exonerated. The lawyers acknowledged that he first denied meeting the Colorado woman and later backtracked that he ended up paying her for a massage. They claimed he was simply trying to cover his tracks as a married man. On the night of the murder, Jones left home for about an hour, telling his wife he needed to return back to work because he forgot to switch off the lights. A few days later, Birgfeld’s car was found. The 65-year-old man also had a criminal record. He was an ex-convict who had spent five years in jail before. When police investigated him, they found a condom, Viagra and a pair of wigs in his tool box. They also found the handwritten numbers of escorts along with their bra sizes and a food scale the mother-of-three was selling at the time. According to the Denver Post, prosecutors were sure that Jones killed Birgfeld and torched her car to destroy any evidence that would lead back to him. The prosecuting lawyers revealed that the fact the car was torched across the street from where he worked and that a forensic dog indicated his scent was in the passenger seat of her car made him culpable. A gas can was also found next to Jones’ work station, he had initially denied purchasing it and when he was found out did not give an explanation on why he had it. Anne-Christine Johnson Missing: Ex-Husband Person Of Interest In Texas Woman’s Disappearance, Say Police

Police say the ex-husband of Texas woman, Anne-Christine Johnson, who’s been missing for almost three weeks, is a person of interest in her disappearance. The League City Police Department informed The Huffington Post that Shaun Philip Hardy, 32, is a person of interest in the case of the missing mother of two, Anne-Christine, 30. Hardy has not been arrested or charged, but he was reportedly the last person to see Anne-Christine, who works as a cocktail waitress. Help us find Anne-Christine Johnson. Please share this with everyone! Her family is so worried about her. She’s been missing since Dec. 8th. pic.twitter.com/plZzTbMAsm — Lisa Kirkeby (@lmkirkeby) December 14, 2016 A spokesperson with the League City Police Department, Kelly Williamson, told The Post, “You have a contentious couple in a volatile relationship, sharing custody of a child, and he was the last person to report seeing her… The totality of those circumstances is what makes him a person of interest.” Anne-Christine vanished on December 8 when she went to Hardy’s residence in League City, Texas. After she failed to show up for work and members of her family couldn’t get in contact with her, she was reported missing by her father, The Post reports. When questioned by authorities, Hardy told them he last spied Anne-Christine outside of his home on the day she vanished. He further stated he saw her leave in a white car with a man he couldn’t identify. The Post notes police now say Hardy is “no longer speaking with them.” According to the Houston Chronicle, court documents indicate that Anne-Christine had accused Hardy in mid-2015 of attempting to drug her, pistol-whip her, and choke her. She specifically noted he “assaulted” her with a firearm, and used a knife to threaten her. When requesting a protective order, Anne-Christine said she was “afraid” without the court’s protection, Hardy would continue to hurt her or “even kill” her. She further alleged while at Hardy’s home, he went to the kitchen, retrieved a hunting knife, and began cutting himself. At one point, after Anne-Christine asserted Hardy hit her with a gun barrel and choked her, she stated he began stabbing her son’s mattress when she went to say goodbye to the five-year-old, the Chronicle reports. She further alleged Hardy then tried to squirt a syringe full of muscle relaxers into her mouth and told her he’d “slit her wrists so it looked like suicide.” The Post reports that Hardy also asked for a protective order alleging that Anne-Christine had “engaged in… family violence” and asserted she would likely “harass, annoy, alarm, abuse, torment, or embarrass” him. The Chronicle reports that the court granted both Anne-Christine’s and Hardy’s requests for protective orders, but each was canceled within about a month after being filed. A GoFundMe campaign that is no longer active, raised $790 for Anne-Christine prior to it ending. According to The Post, the campaign, which features a photo of Anne-Christine with red marks and bruises on her face and neck, was started by her mother in 2015 following the filing of Anne-Christine’s order of protection. Anne-Christine and Hardy have been divorced since April 2015 and she was given primary custody of their autistic son, five, reports The Post. According to the news media outlet, Anne-Christine has an eight-year-old son from another relationship and the boy lives with his father. Missing: My niece, Anne-Christine Johnson, age 30. Anne-Christine Johnson is described as being a white female, about 5-feet-2 inches tall, weighing approximately 110 pounds, and having brown hair and green eyes. Bill Largess, who was hosting the annual holiday party and is the artistic director for the Washington Stage Guild, told The Post that initially, friends weren’t overly worried that Tricia was absent because in the past, she had “slept through a similar dinner.” But when she failed to get on a plane headed to Oregon for a family visit on Monday, friends and family became frantic. They approached the man who had been seen driving the white, 2-door Scion iQ and he surrendered the vehicle’s keys to police when asked to do so. When the car was opened, law enforcement found Tricia’s body. [Metropolitan Police Department] The medical examiner’s office announced that Tricia, who was a mere 5-foot, 4-inches tall and weighed just 115 pounds, died from blunt force trauma and asphyxia due to strangulation, the New York Daily News reports. Tricia’s brother, Brian, took to Facebook after his sister was found, according to the Huffington Post and wrote, “Tricia is gone, they have found her body… Thank you all for your work, support and love. To all of her D.C. family, I know she truly thought of you that way, thank you for being there for her all these years. Hang on to each other.” Police say they believe that Tricia and Johnson were strangers and did not know one another. They also announced authorities do not know precisely where or when Tricia was murdered. The Post reports that Johnson is not a stranger to the criminal justice system and has a “long record of arrests,” however, most of them are for nonviolent crimes, including theft, in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. According to the news media outlet, “Court files contain notations of possible mental illness,” even though Johnson had been “ruled competent in the past.” Johnson’s stepfather, Russell Dixon, told The Post that Johnson had mental issues and was homeless, but noted he never saw any type of violent behavior from him. Dixon further stated that the court system had been “too lenient” on Johnson and should not have let him go because he needed help. Apparently, Johnson had been arrested earlier in December, charged with stealing toothbrushes from a CVS pharmacy. According to The Post, prosecutors requested Johnson only be released if he was required to wear a GPS monitor and be mandated to home confinement. The judge complied, also ordering Johnson to obtain mental health screening, but Johnson never showed up on December 21, as ordered, to have the GPS device placed on his ankle. According to the Huffington Post, Tricia was a stand-in for Jenna Dewan Tatum for the feature film Step Up and also starred in two short films, Never Dream: The Beginning, and The Paper Girl. Louisiana Woman Gives Birth In Walmart Bathroom On Christmas Eve, Tosses Newborn In Trash

A Louisiana woman who was given the gift of a child on Christmas Eve literally tried to get rid of her baby by throwing it in a Walmart bathroom trash can. New Falls resident Kyandrea Thomas, 34, was arrested Monday for the dastardly act, as noted by Inside Edition, and charged with attempted second degree murder. According to the tabloid news program, Thomas was soliciting patrons outside of the Walmart for tips on behalf of the Salvation Army on Saturday, December 24, when she suddenly went into labor. Rather than request medical assistance, the accused instead made her way to a bathroom stall inside of the department mega-store and gave birth to a healthy baby girl, before placing the her inside of a plastic bag and tossing her into a garbage can. Initially unresponsive, the newborn was able to be properly resuscitated at nearby Point Coupee General Hospital before being transferred to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. The child, who was temporarily named Olivia by medical staff, is now said to be in stable condition. “It’s a very emotional situation, to say the least,” Pointe Coupee Sheriff Bud Torres expressed of the matter. “We don’t know all the facts or what the motivation was for it, but it was a senseless act on her part.” Chief Deputy Joe Gannon, a staff member of the Pointe Coupee Parish Coroner’s Office, relayed to FOX Carolina that Thomas’ baby was approximately 4- to 6-hours-old when the Walmart employee found her in the bathroom. Incidentally, this was not the first time that Thomas has been accused of causing harm to a child. As noted by CBS affiliate WAFB-9, the body of 3-year-old Damiyn McElveen was found inside of a van belonging to Wanda’s Kids World, a day care center that once employed Thomas, in 2009. As stated by court documents, Thomas, along with two other former day care workers, somehow forgot to ensure that McElveen had exited the vehicle on July 1 of that year after picking her up at home earlier that day. As such, the toddler was left to overheat inside of the van for six hours, with temperatures outside reaching upwards to 90 degrees during the afternoon. Thomas was subsequently sentenced to five years probation and 10,000 hours of community service. Kyandrea Thomas of Louisiana allegedly threw her newborn baby inside of a Walmart bathroom trash bin. [Image by slobo/iStock] Louisiana is one of several states that has currently has a “Safe-Haven” statute in play. Under that law, which is occasionally referred to as the “Baby Moses law” (in reference to the plight of the biblical character), overwhelmed parents can drop off unharmed newborns or infants at state-designated hospitals or firehouses. As Kyandrea Thomas’ child was just born, the mother was fully eligible for the aforementioned regulation. Following her booking at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Monday, Thomas was transferred to the Point Coupee Parish Jail, where she currently awaits sentencing. No word on the child’s father has been publicly made. Just last month, as reported by the Inquisitr, a Nigerian woman also gave birth inside of a public bathroom and discarded the fetus to make a connecting flight inside of an Austrian airport. The unnamed child, whose gender was not made public, subsequently died as a result of complications of a prolonged lack of oxygen. The mother, who was a college student on her way to America, was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated before being arrested. [Featured Image by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office]

He mentioned that every time the photos were shared over the internet, these kids suffered even more. He sent out a warning to anyone else who thinks that it is okay to exploit and abuse children in this manner. “Today’s sentencing is a strong message to those who prey on children: no matter who you are or what you do, we will find you. The act of downloading and viewing images of children in ually abusive situations is reprehensible, this behavior re-victimizes the child victims over and over.” Photos of ually explicit acts of underage children were found on two computers that allegedly had belonged to Skupin. Officials had seized the laptops when they were originally investigating the 54-year-old former reality star over his Ponzi scheme called Pay It Forward in which he recruited people to invest thousands of dollars, many of them family and friends. The money is then cycled through to a new investor who also donated money. After money was lost and tempers flared, someone decided to contact a reporter about the gifting scheme. State officials took over to investigate and they got more than they bargained for. [Image by Scott Gries/Getty Images] This whole thing caught many Survivor fans by surprise. Michael Skupin was a favorite contestant on the CBS show. He appeared in two separate seasons and was the first to have to be evacuated in 2000 from Australia after falling in a fire and burning himself badly. He then returned for another season of Survivor in 2012. He is also known for being a motivational speaker after his reality days. The Michigander still says that he is innocent of the child ography charges, even though he took a plea that he says he did out of fear. He sent an exclusive statement to People saying that he did not in any way download any ually explicit photos of children or view any of those pictures. “I maintain my innocence — I will continue this fight for as long as I breathe for all the people that are feel that they have to take pleas out of fear and who’s lives are forever altered by a system where sensationalized and untruthful media plays too big of a role which creates bias unfair judgements and allows for people to consider personal gains instead of justice.” He did apologize for hurting those whose investments were lost as he applied that he thought he was helping those people with his Pay It Forward business. Michael Skupin was led out of the courtroom in handcuffs as he starts his prison time. He was described in the courtroom during his sentencing as shaking his head and in tears. He leaves seven children behind, although he has said that he is currently raising 11 kids. Any visitations with his minor children is ordered to be under supervision. [Featured Image by Frederick M.
